2016-2017 4-H Enrollment
Youth and adult volunteers may enroll anytime during the year, however, if youth members would like to complete the year and/or compete in 4-H divisions at the Plumas-Sierra County Fair they must enroll online between July 31st and their Club's November Club Meeting.
Steps to Enroll:
1. Partent/Guardian (of youth under 18) or Adult Colunteers should go to
2. If you are new to 4-H, create "family" account. Click "I need to setup a
profile" and enter your information. If you are re-enrolling press "I forgot
my passowrd". You will need to know what email address you entered on
your enrollment forms from the previous year. If you have a problem, call Kari
O'Reilly at the 4-H Office, 530-283-6173.
3. In the Member List screen, you may add new youth an adults or update
information for existing youth and adults. Enter/update information on
the three screens to successfully enroll in 4-H.
The enrollment and Wavier of Liability can be entered online, but club leaders will still need an original signed Treatment and Health History Form for all you and adults. Also for youth, a Parent Consent for Online Record Book Form. Additionally for adult volunteers, a completed Volunteer Confidential Self Disclosure Form will be returned to the 4-H Office.

State and County 4-H insurance fees are $45 for youth members and $14 for each adult volunteer. Each club may collect additional fees so be sure to ask at your local club. ALL fees will be collected by your club leaders, not the 4-H Office or online.
FEE WAIVER/REDUCTION PROGRAM
The Plumas-Sierra 4-H Youth Development Program is open to participants, regardless of their ability to pay. Program fees can be waived or reduced for eligible volunteers and youth.

The Plumas-Sierra County 4-H Program coincides with the start of school each fall. We welcome returning and new members, leaders and parent to the Plumas-Sierra County 4-H Program. We encourage each 4-H member to invite a friend to join 4-H. Each club is unique and offers projects and activities of interest to its youth based upon the resources of their community and parents. The club is only as strong as its members and leaders. Enroll today and become active; learning together and helping each other.
All 4-H members must be enrolled by November club meeting to be eligible for the current 4-H year completion and to exhibit at the Plumas-Sierra County Fair. Complete enrollment forms and all fees must be paid by the November club meeting to be officially enrolled. All 4-H Leaders and 4-H members must sign a waiver of Liability form, assumption of risk, and indemnity agreement form every year.
COMPLETION AND AGE REQUIREMENTS
There are different age levels of 4-H Youth Development Program (YDP) participation and involvement. Youth are eligible to participate in 4-H if they meet the following criteria:
A. Primary 4-H Members
Primary members must by 5 years old by December 31st of the program year.
Primary members cannot enroll in large animal projects. Youth enrolling who
turn nine on or after January 1st must participate as a primary member until
the end of the program year.
B. Junior, Intermediate and Senior 4-H Members
Must be 9 years old by December 31st of the program year and may continue in
the program until December 31st of the calendar year in which they become 19
years of age.
C. Home Schooled Members
Are to enroll based on their chronological age as of December 31st.
D. Special Needs Members
Special needs youth are to enroll in the program based on their chronological
age and follow the 4-H YDP age requirements of 5-19 years of age. Any
extensions beyond the age of 19 of special needs youth must be approved
annually by the County Director.
E. Members as Adult Volunteers
An individual must be 18 years or older to become an adult volunteer. A 4-H
member cannot simultaneously be an adult volunteer. 4-H YDP staff have the
authority to establish procedures that are more stringent or set further
